Funding for fiscal year 2019 is now closed. Requests for funding under the International Engagement initiative for fiscal year 2020 will be considered beginning September 1, 2019. Please check this site again for coming updates to the request process and eligibility requirements.
Texas State University has made an institutional commitment to advance a university-wide, comprehensive internationalization strategy using the recommendations made in the Internationalization Task Force Report from 2010 as a roadmap. This strategy was reaffirmed in 2016 with the development of an annual international engagement plan.
The current international engagement plan includes four domains--partnership development, international student recruitment, brand development, and faculty and student mobility.
This form is used to request funds that advance the international engagement plan. Strong requests will include the following:
- A clear demonstration of the proposed activity's connection to one or more of the four domains of the international engagement plan;
- Demonstrated support of an academic department and/or college;
- Identified financial support from multiple campus stakeholders.
Support is contingent on funding availability, therefore requests should be submitted at least six weeks in advance of the planned activity.
